Because we all know I am about the selflove, and gratification, and I mean, really I love myself more then it is truly wholesome, I just have one thing and one thing only to say today...

HAPPY FUCKING BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

This is one of those few special birthdays you get, and okay, every birth day is special, and we all have those mile-stones, double digits when you turn 10, sweet sixteen, legal drinking age, (18 in canada, 21 for the rest of you fuckers), quarter century, and my personal favourite, your lucky year, the year you turn the age of your birthdate. Today, and this year is my lucky fucking year! 27 on the 27th!! FUCK YAH!!

I will not say I am old, because I am most certainly the biggest fucking kid I know so just a heads up, if you live in Ottawa, watch out. I'm a crazy mofo, and this shit just got very real.

now where fuck is my coffee?

The pain of being too creative

Edited :

Well what a fucking waste, after drilling the holes mounting the fucking deer antlers they are too heavy to support their own wait on the headpiece and fall down. FML. So instead I said 'Fine, this isn't worth stressing out over, make something else'. Inspiration strikes at 10:34 pm and I make a pair of (albeit) rough satyr antlers and let them dry over night. Come this morning, I do a final bake dry (for about twenty minutes at 200C). I mount them to an old headband and cover it with leather. I then painted them dark brown-bone coloured and added some feather fluff. Now, having sorted that, I realized that the animal feel of my costume is off...SOOOO I get to pull out some old faves of mine and pick and choose the best...

Hallowe'en I love and hate you so very much.

So.

The Witches Gathering is nee three weeks away and I've decided that I'm actually going to work on a costume. Which means, racking my brain to create a simple yet sick costume. As mentioned in my last journal (I think) I've decided to go as a manitou (for those of you unfamiliar a manitou is an algonquin, more specifically Ojibwan, spirit creature). I'm also drawing on images of Coyote for clothing pieces.

So its come down to me wearing a pair of antlers from a three year old buck (three little tines, and one of them was broken off so it gives them this less then perfect look that I love) and so I've figured out a way to mount them together (after painstakingly removing them from the skullcap -FUCK-). So I've got that going and now i have to figure out how to mount the support wire that will keep them on my head to the antlers in an easy effective way. Preferably some way I can easily remove them if I get hot or they get heavy... :S

I'm totally stumped, and yes, for those creative people out there, this is a call for help.

HELP!! any suggestions? Idea's? Have you seen antler head pieces or sommat similar somewhere where I can die a happy death and use them as reference pieces? Anyone?

-ALSO-

The costume, clothing wise, goes a little something like this. Black boots (something cowboy style) blue jeans, a white tank under a plaid shirt (probably mens, taken in to be fitted to accentuate my giantic rack...not antler, my boobs...hehehe) with a fringe leather vest I've moded out to have a corset back cause it was too small for my giantic rack...hehehe.
Belt will be brown leather with a green man belt buckle (I loove my buckle) and my silver feather necklace along with my massive chunk of quartz. Earrings will be wooden spirals and flared plugs and bracelet will be a leather wrist gaurd.
Little make-up mostly to bring out my super blue eyes and as well, a couple medicine pouches, one my cousin gifted me from the dollar store with a little dream catcher on it and possibly a second bag for money/i.d. cards. Simple yet effective.
I'm not planning on winning any contests, this is just for fun...and the fact that I want to wear antlers.HEHEH.

Making a trip to Michael's Craft Supply shop in the next day or two to pick up moar feathers.

Painting Again

Its been a month an a half since the art show, and while I am still keeping crazy busy with art, my tablet (which I lOOOOOOVE) and giving psuedo art lessons to Mz. Jebblicous, I've started to paint again.

I was planning on retiring from the acrylics for a couple of months at least to rebuild my reserves...but in giving lessons in acrylic paint, I've been painting again. Which is nice. Lazily so because I've decided to sell out and go the art-mod satisfy the yuppie nation by doing a load of safe dull paintings.

Case in point, my new lotus painting done on four 9"x12" canvases. Its gonna look funk-eh, the bg is creamy buttery yellow and the lotus is going to be a luscious hot pink, and when the basic dull flat layers are done I'm going to be stenciling over in white lotus's in the bg and adding a hint of a pink wash on the lotus. Very safe, very fresh, very I have no soul and what I do have in its place is being sold for a little artistic merit.

With that said, a second two panel piece I am doing is going to be a cherry branch cut out style similar to the lotus but very tall and mossy green and dark cherry (duh).

When they are finished they will DEFINITELY be for sale.

Then onward to something new!

...

also baking like a mad woman, cookies and breads and more cookies and mmm pumpkin pie. RAWR.

...

AND!! The Witches Gathering this year falls on October 31 so Barrymore's is going to be FUCKING HOPPING!! I CAN'T WAIT!! Much love to British for helping me repair my leather corset in time for the gathering...mmm black leather, steel boned corset of glorious glorious seeeeex.

I'm getting chills just thinking about it...heheheh
